Job Description

This is an administrative position with the goal of attracting, enhancing and increasing the numbers of Pratt undergraduate and graduate students as well as alumni applying for Fulbright and other international arts residencies and grants. The position will begin in February 2026 for the 2026 Spring and Summer Semesters, with a likelihood of returning for the Fall 2026/2027 school year.

 

Assistant Responsibilities:

  • Assist with implementing and marketing the program through the development of social media, emails, and web content.
  • Assist in the design and production of information, meetings, and workshops directed to students, alumni and faculty.
  • Schedule and develop information meetings on the Manhattan and Brooklyn campuses.
  • Monitor the Fulbright email inbox and answer or direct inquiries as needed.
  • Research and develop resources for students and alumni wishing to apply for one of the three types of Fulbright grant awards.
  • Build and schedule faculty committees for application reviews.
  • Under the guidance of the Program Advisor coach students to improve  their fellowship applications.
  • Refer students to writing lab and language programs.
  • Other duties as needed

Compensation:

The role pays $3000 total for the Spring/Summer 2026 semsters (Feb 23rd-June 30th) that will be split between the bi-weekly pay cycle.

Job Requirements

The Specifics

  • Must be currently enrolled in Graduate Program at Pratt Institute in Spring of 2026 and Fall of 2026
  • Stipend is for 10 hours per week for 15 weeks
  • You pick your schedule with hours between 9 – 4 Monday – Friday, some flexible hours may be available
  • This position is a graduate assistantship
  • The Graduate Assistant works under the direct supervision of Deborah Yanagisawa, Associate Director/Program Advisor and Mel Barksdale, Career Development Coordinator. This position is a paid stipend-assisted position.
