Job Description

The CNC monitor position is an opportunity to learn how to write toolpaths for and operate two CNC machines. 

Responsibilities include:

- Intake student materials and work with files submitted remotely.

- Make edits in Rhino, Adobe Illustrator, or Solidworks. 

- Program toolpaths for the machine based on files.

- Load and unload materials onto the machine bed. 

- Monitor the machine while cutting.

- Clean up and lab maintenance. 

 

Job Requirements

- Punctuality and strong communication skills.

- Must be comfortable lifting materials with one other person, including full sheets of plywood.

- Rhino, Solidworks proficiency required.

- Must be comfortable using power tools.

- Interest in digital fabrication preferred.
