Job Description

Description:

The Admissions Office is seeking undergraduate students interested in staffing our annual Admitted Students Weekend, taking place on April 11 & 12, 2026.

Position details:

Working closely with admissions, this position is primarily responsible for leading groups of future Pratt students and their families around campus during both Admitted Students Weekend events. This position will provide an engaging, enthusiastic, and welcoming presence for guests and support crowd maintenance elements of the event. Student workers in this position will be asked to staff different areas around campus including parking lots, registration tables, buildings, department facilities, and more based on staffing needs.

General timeline:

The event runs from approximately 8am to 3pm, and lunch will be provided. Arrival time will be at least one hour ahead of the event, likely around 7am.

There will be three 1 hour required paid training sessions, time and dates TBA leading up to the event. There will be multiple times offered for each training to best accommodate your schedule. A final all-hands meeting with students and professional staff will be required the week before the event. All student workers will be provided Pratt t-shirts, which you can keep!

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Students who are passionate about their experience at Pratt

  • Outgoing, friendly, engaging students who will have no problem mingling with admitted students and their families

  • Those who want to help share their positive experience with incoming admitted students

  • Proactive go-getters who can remain calm when unexpected situations arise

  • Students who want to show how welcoming and collaborative Pratt’s environment is

  • General knowledge of Pratt's campus and building locations

  • Comfortable leading groups of up to 25 prospective students and families around campus

Please note:

If you are an international student, you will need to work with HR to get a social security number, which we can arrange if you are hired.

The standard 20 hour work-week limit will apply to this position, so please keep this in mind if you already hold another campus job. We will need at least a 10 hour commitment from each participant.
