Admissions Tour Guide 

Pratt Institute is seeking enthusiastic and outgoing students to join our team of Admissions Tour Guides. Tour Guides play a key role in welcoming visitors and guests to campus by leading campus tours and participating in programs and events designed to showcase Pratt’s academic offerings, campus life, and admissions process for prospective students and their families. Tour Guides must be a friendly face and positive example of the Pratt community. This role is a great opportunity  to build professional skills in communication, public speaking, and teamwork while representing Pratt Institute.

Key Responsibilities
Admissions Tour Guides are responsible for a variety of duties including, but not limited to: 

 

  • Representing Pratt Institute by warmly welcoming all campus visitors in an inclusive and genuine manner. 

  • Leading engaging tours and sharing your personal Pratt story with confidence and excitement.

  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of Pratt's academic programs, studios, spaces, galleries, and student services 

  • Supporting Admissions Counselors by participating in information sessions and facilitating student Q&A sessions.Assisting with Open Houses, Admitted Student Days,and Parent & Family Weekend.  

  • Assisting with office projects including mailings or preparing materials for events.

  • Contributing to the overall student ambassador team through collaboration and teamwork 

  • Attend all scheduled training to build your skills and stay  informed

  • Perform all other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

  • Curious to learn and a general interest in Higher Education Admissions 

  • Strong communication skills and comfort with speaking to large groups of people.

  • In good academic and disciplinary standing

  • Enrolled at Pratt for at least one semester before starting
     

Work Schedule

Minimum of 8 hours weekly. Shifts vary and may include mornings, afternoons, evenings or occasional weekends for training and events. Admissions Tour Guides are required to participate in two weekend Admissions events per semester.
