STUDENT WORKER - AQUASTEADY The AquaSteady project, operating out of Pratt’s Research Yard in the Brooklyn Navy Yard, seeks a new member of our clean-up crew for 8 hours (two 4-hour shifts) per week, starting ASAP. All interested students enrolled for the Spring 2026 semester are invited to apply. AquaSteady is a water-absorbent hydrogel made from seaweed. It helps farmers enhance soil fertility and water retention to protect crops from irregular rainfalls and irrigation. AquaSteady is a cross-disciplinary, multi-establishment research initiative with Phase II funding from the U.S. National Science Foundation Convergence Accelerator. This is a unique opportunity to contribute to an interdisciplinary project that combines design and science to create large-scale solutions to complex problems caused by climate change. We’re seeking a student worker to support the production team's daily activities. The position will be in person only, with work taking place at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, a 10-minute walk from Pratt’s main campus. While there is some flexibility with scheduling, priority will be given to applicants with availability on Tuesday afternoons and Fridays. |
