Job Description

The Office of Institutional Advancement is looking for a student worker to assist with a variety of projects related to Alumni Engagement, including tasks related to alumni email communications, social media outreach, content strategy and research, event support, and data management. The job requires creativity and being comfortable with digital communications platforms and social media. The student will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement to perform this project.

Tasks

Alumni Engagement: Support needed from the Alumni Engagement team includes data management and research projects, as well as some in-person, on campus projects, such as preparing and executing mailings, swag preparation and on-site event support (based on availability).

Email: Assist in placing copy in email templates for various departmental emails, including event invitations, newsletters, and fundraising solicitations.

Social Media: Assist in brainstorming, researching, and writing social media content for the Pratt Alumni social media accounts. This includes a research project around the possible use of TikTok by the department, as well as researching and compiling images for different posts.


Preferred: Students who are interested in gaining experience working in nonprofit administration, community building, marketing, and social media.

Position is on the Brooklyn campus. Position is hybrid and will report to the office once a week (or as needed).
