Students & Supervisors
  • The 2017-2018 Payroll Schedule is now available.

  • First Pay Date for Fall 2017 - Please take note that the first pay date for ALL student employees for Fall 2017 is September 22nd.  If paperwork or time sheets are late, payment will be on a following pay date.

  • Fall Hiring - When hiring for Fall 2017 please select Academic Year (8/28/17 to 5/8/18) from the drop down box under "Time Frame" for hourly positions.  If you are only hiring for Fall you can edit the end date to 12/14/17. "Fall 2017 Stipend Only" is available from the drop down box under "Time Periods" for stipend based positions.

  • Graduate Assistantships - The rate of pay for GAs is fixed. It is currently $13.00 per hour. The rate will increase to $14.00 per hour January 1, 2018.  Supervisors, please be sure to follow the steps to hire GAs and other stipend based positions in the Supervisors Stipend User Guide. It can be found in the on-Campus employers information section.

  • Fall 2017 Employment Eligibility - Students must be registered for Fall '17 with at least 6 credits or more for the respective semesters in order to be employed under student employment. 


  • Students - The payroll dates provided on the payroll schedule are the dates checks are issued. ALL checks will be mailed 1 day prior to the paydate. We encourage you to sign up for Direct Deposit to aviod lost or stale dated checks. Please pay close attention to the Payroll Schedule for out of sequence scheduling.


  • NYC Minimum Wage is scheduled to increase on 12/31/17 to $13.00 per hour.  All students with a rate below $13.00 per hour will be increased as of 12/31/17 to $13.00. Please check back on the student employment website for any additional updated.


  • Supervisors please review JobX and TimesheetX Quick Tips under "On Campus Employment". This power point presentation will give you an overall view of how to navigate through the student employment website with ease. Please be sure to keep all hires up to date in preparation for the budget enhancements.
    • There will not be increases for students during the academic school year. You will have the opportunity to give your continuing students increases July 1, 2017 or when rehiring them during the beginning of the Fall '17 semester. If you give a continuing student an increase as of July 1st you may not give another increase until mandated by NYS/IRS or the following fiscal year.   
    • DO NOT hire students into duplicate jobs and please update end dates for continuing hires if students need to be extended.  
    • Email notification requests to close inactive jobs for any student currently not working.
    • Once jobs are closded for the Fiscal Year you will not be able to enter in late timesheets. Please reach out to the payroll department for further instructions.


  • The Stipend proccess has been revamped in order to better assist you with record keeping. If you are currenlty hiring any employee that receives a stipend, please visit "On Campus Employment" to view our new and improved stipend process.
